Rockin' All Over the World

Andrew Young, the renowned saxophonist, has been invited to Clifton School and will be performing an exciting new program.  Accompanying Andrew will be pianist Shem Mahabeer.

Reflecting on his extensive world tours, the song “Rockin’ All Over the World” came to mind and a new program emerged.   As he brings this program to South Africa, Andrew’s storytelling through music will offer more than just melodies; it is an intimate sharing of his experiences, from bustling cities in China to the Caribbean, South America to the European landscapes where he has spent much of his time. Whether through soulful saxophone solos or energetic ensemble pieces, his performance takes the listener through the ups and downs of life on the road.

Joining him on stage during the program will be Learners from the Music Department at Clifton.
